Here we go again. Another dooms day prediction is about to fail. Jesus Christ’s Second Advent can come at any time but He said that it will be when we least expect it, like a thief in the night. Even so, Harold Camping has pegged May 21st, 2011, as the precise day of Christ’s return. He ignores the fact that Jesus said that no man knows when He will return. Paul warned about such men in I...  Read More

When I get home, the lone male tabby runs to greet me. For some reason no one else can approach him. Not my wife, my daughter, my other children, nor any other person. For reasons unknown to me, I am the only one that he trusts. He hops up into my lap, and puts his big paws on my shoulders and actually nestles his head under my neck. He licks my face and just stares into my eyes. I take his face...  Read More

I remember hearing about children, grown or still living at home, that would scream at their parents "I hate you!" In fact, it happens so often that I thought it was necessary to write about this because I recently heard a child scream at his mother like this. Here is a fact that I hope helps parents. When children are the worst, they are absolutely the most difficult ever, you feel like...  Read More

Resurrection Sunday changed history forever but people are still asking is there any proof of the resurrection? Is it conclusive? Could you prove it to anyone who would ask you about it? Yes you can! We Christians already know but here is how we can be prepared to give an answer for the hope that is within us. It is not a hope-so, but a know-so. The great lineage of Jesus Christ is recorded at...  Read More

Shocking as it is, pornography destroys marriages, relationships, martial relations, defiles men and women and profanes what is designed to be sacred. If you think this problem is in the world alone, think again. It is systemic in the churches. Even more saddening, saddening to me since I am a pastor is the percentage of pastors that are addicted to this. I have held pastoral counseling with men...  Read More

John 3:16 is a beautiful verse that speaks of the immeasurable gift that the Father gave of His Son for our forgiveness of sins. Even so, John 3:17 completes this thought; Jesus came not to condemn the world, but to save the world. One of the greatest things about redemption is that we are forgiven by God. He removes our sins as far as the east is from the west. The point is east and west never...  Read More

I believe that the first step to beginning a prison ministry is to do these three things: Pray, then pray, and finally pray some more. Bathe the idea in prayer before you do anything. Prayer is quintessential to any ministry that a person or church does. Talking with former prisoners is also a great resource. Speak with the local sheriff to see if such a ministry is already in place. Make an...  Read More

I am presently the pastor at Mulvane Brethren Church and below is a press release that I received about Fred Phelps’ Westboro Church of Topeka coming to picket our local church. They plan to picket our church on Sunday, December 19th at the beginning of our services. Why? Because Mulvane, Kansas is the home of the Patriot Guard, which consists of dozens and dozens of American veterans who ride on...  Read More

In Professor Edgar Andrews’s book, Who Made God , the goal is not to refute atheistic assertions, but to develop a theory of everything (p. 10). This envelops both the material and non-material aspects of the universe. Who Made God? is repeatedly asked by Richard Dawkins in his book The God Delusion . Who made God have been the atheist’s most frequent philosophical weapon and objection to the...  Read More

I have been writing letters to Death Row inmates for a while now. One man I was writing said that a revival occurred in Louisiana’s most notorious prison, Angola State Prison. I am also writing to a state penitentiary here in my home state of Kansas too. But in this state prison in Louisiana, what was once called Death Row is now being called Life Row. It is the eternal life and redemptive...  Read More

The church I am pasturing is training in one of the most powerful, effective, and little-known evangelism methods there is. And one that has not been used much at all but the same one that Jesus used. In fact, its not used for most church’s Outreach or by the majority of Christians when sharing the Gospel with others. This powerful evangelistic tool is called Hell‘s Best Kept Secret. Its a...  Read More

Did you know that there are angels all around us, watching over us, assigned by God Almighty, to each and every specific human? They are not to be worshiped but they are assigned by God as our protectors of physical and spiritual dangers. They can take human form when they are commanded to do so. Some angels may appear visible to some people while not to others. We might have even entertained...  Read More

Rarely do I get angry, but even Jesus got angry once when He overturned the moneychangers table in the Temple. There are still modern day moneychangers, and they use God to rake in multiple millions of dollars. “Call in today and you will receive a ten times miracle your offering…today, if you sow a thousand dollar seed, you can expect a financial miracle. If you don’t sow this seed, then you...  Read More

You must realize that there are far too many prophecies of Jesus Christ that have been fulfilled in the Old and New Testaments to cover in one article, let alone to be covered in one book. I wrote a book that has some of these prophecies mentioned but it is just amazing to say the least. In my book, “Blind Chance or Intelligent Design, Empirical Methodologies and the Bible“, chapter five contains...  Read More

Let no one fool you. Special Needs children are not handicapped at learning. They may appear to be deficient in learning in traditional ways, but they most certainly are not incapable of learning. In fact, in my many years as a Special Needs teacher and working as a Mental Health Case Manager, I found that these children are not only gifted in ways beyond our comprehension, they are actually...  Read More

There’s Power in the Blood, an old Gospel hymn has an obvious meaning that there’s power in the blood of Jesus Christ to forgive sins. But there’s power in your blood too. There are personal benefits for the donor who donates blood, like it lowers blood pressure, raises good cholesterol levels (HDL) while lowering the bad (LDL), reduces dangerous platelets or clots, purifies the blood,...  Read More

What are some of the reasons that you might like to sign up to donate your organs after your decease? Plenty! It is free to sign up for. You could save someone’s life. You could be a hero, saving someone’s mom, or dad, or brother. Someone’s donated organ could save your own life. Have you ever doubted your own salvation? Or were unsure if you were really saved in the first place? What if one leaves the church? Can a person’s name be erased from the Book of Life? Can one commit the “unpardonable sin” today? And can a person lose their salvation after they have been saved? Is it a true saying that “Once saved, always saved?“. First, let’s look at how salvation is attained. ...  Read More

When a shepherd lies down at night to guard the sheep, guess where the shepherd lays? Right at the door or the gate of the fence or pen. No one can come in or go out without going over or through the shepherd. He guards the sheep all night and feeds them all day. They are under His constant vigilance. He knows His sheep and knows that they can become restless. So the shepherd has to go slow in...  Read More

I know that the Bible says homosexuality is a sin and that those who do so will not inherit the Kingdom of God, but it also says that the only unforgivable sin is not accepting Jesus. If a gay or lesbian person accepts Jesus, but is not able to change his or her lifestyle, can they go to heaven? What about alcoholics, drug abusers, child molesters, etc.? There is only one sin that is mentioned...  Read More

When I saw an old acquaintance of mine from High School days, I waved but inwardly stewed. I just could not forgive that man…for changing my life, destroying my car and my insurance rating…many, many years ago. I customarily put my car keys above my car visor as we lived in a very small town. But one night my friend, who had greatly indulged in the spirits, took my car without my permission and...  Read More

If Christians are to be always ready to give an answer for the reason of the hope that is within us (I Pet. 3:15) and not have any fear or be troubled about reasons for unbelievers questions about the existence of God, the Creator (v 14) , then the DVD, The God Delusion Debate (, 2007 copyright) is one worth watching. How did everything, including life, come into existence? Was there a Creator or was it merely by chance that everything in the universe, including all life forms came into existence. What about the origins of life? Isn’t there sufficient evidence that have already proven evolution to be a fact? Every human alive has a desire of their heart. They aspire to be, they hope to become, they strive to do; something that is in their heart. An intense desire burns in every human heart to be something that they are not now at present. Some few have already found their desires fulfilled. I have found this desire in myself. But how does a person receive the desires of their heart? God clearly...  Read More

If you could ask Jesus about evolution, would He say He believed in it? You can find His answer in the scriptures. It is clearly obvious that Jesus did not believe in evolution and if you can believe in Jesus, which I do, then let His words prove it to you. Don’t believe me, believe what Jesus says. In Matthew 19:4-6, He answers the question about divorce from the Pharisees saying, “4 And He...  Read More

One thing that really disturbs me are those unseen predators, who refuse to make an honest living, and steal another person’s name and identity, doing great harm to both. If you want to save a copy of your content, you must do so before the website shuts down on December 31, 2017. We will NOT be able to provide any assistance after the website shuts down. We are available at only until the shutdown to provide more information and assistance.

It was a noble 10-year experiment, but it turns out that the writers with the best content are the least adept at the tech required to publish under our model, which in hindsight, makes perfect sense. If you are dedicating your life to becoming an expert in your specialty, you don’t have a lot of time left for figuring out publishing tech.

It hasn't helped that we have entered an age of unprecedented polarization and antagonism which doesn't foster demand for a website dedicated to the respectful engagement of diverse views.

Thank you, everyone!
