Regarding Political Correctness, the culture-of-death and the possibility of overcoming them…

Keywords: None

A man - Paul Dici - submitted a letter to the editor (it appeared June 10, 2017 New Castle News) regarding “political correctness” which unconsciously ends touching – we guess – the fountainhead of PC. Dici intimates that political-correctness had infected the wide culture and finally invaded the University… We responded – the paper allows 300 words – explaining that PC originated in the University, and then wrote a lengthier piece for the ncnewsonline blog, but those submissions were also limited to 300 words. Thus, the missive below was never published, but it was forgotten by its author, until now…

The University was axiomatically/philosophically inverted (thus, the transposition was gradual; beginning a short time after the American War of Independence had wrapped up specifically 1781 with the Copernican Revolution - so named by Immanuel Kant – as he published The Critiques of Pure Reason); through that gradual inversion (exchange of the rational by the irrational) all institutions – of Western Culture - were gradually altered. Now since the inversion was gradual, and since the University frames the culture, the gradual change in the University gradually has changed the culture; all “downstream entities” unconsciously are thus, enlisted as agents (including you, Mr. Dici) of cultural change…

1.) Although the University was gradually diametrically altered (beginning late in 18th Century), it took ubiquitous University admittance (post-WWII), aggregated Government (17th Amendment), technological advance (radio, television, digital-electronics etc.) and the semi-organic push for cultural-homogenization to take place, in order to gradually realize this culture-of-death.

2.) Read (1933) Humanist Manifesto I, and (1973) Manifest II; contained therein are stated goals of intellectuals on what to teach and what to influence in the University and “down-stream” entities; not a conspiracy, but an example of a directed Hegelian dialectic…

3.) The ubiquitous employment of the social-scientist advising Government - and all others - how society should be organized; note: the social-scientist “brackets” that which is qualitative e.g., objective moral principles, God, human-essence/soul etc. as meaningless, thus negating all cultural differences and reducing human relations to material relations; contemplate the implication and you realized the ongoing movement towards dystopia…

4.) Analogously changing the programming of a digital device (computer, robot etc.) changes the device to reflect the programming; changing organizing principles of society changes the society accordingly…

5.) Note: Objective reality i.e., reality ordered independently of any individual i.e., ordered by God, was exchanged with “realities” ordered by the individual; therein lies the basis of relativism…

6.) Note that the University is a product of the Catholic Church – thus at its inception it reflected God, and His Son, Jesus Christ – and the inverse has become anti-God and antichrist.

7.) Note that because the University inversion was philosophical, accomplished by subordinating metaphysics to epistemology; thus, like a cancer virus such has lead to the insidious organic corruption of its host…

8.) Political Correctness, Obama, abortion on demand, mainstreamed acceptance of sodomy, politicization of science, and of everything else, the break-down of family, the subordination of principle’s of morality to emotion, environmentalism, the aggregation of power in collectives (e.g., in US, States Rights assimilated by Federal Government through Federal Courts via 14th Amendment, and the desire - by many - subordination the US to the UN…), Pope Saint John Paul II culture-of-death etcetera, are all symptoms of the disease an inverted worldview produced via the University’s inversion.

9.) Note that Kant’s Copernican Revolution (this revolution reduces reality to the subjective i.e., individual, consciousness/mind), is precipitated by the intellectual “divorce” between faith and reason (i.e., Theology and Philosophy), the divorce culminated with Martin Luther nailing his 95 thesis on the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. It was not plenary indulgences which Luther found insufferable; Luther objected to Philosophy’s corrupting influence upon Scripture… The “divorce” was preceded by roughly a 400+ year estrangement i.e., the separation of faith and reason… Pope Saint John Paul II addresses – and requests - the need to broker a repair that relation (the interdependent relation of faith and reason) in his 1998 encyclical: Fides ET Ratio.

10.) Western Culture – formerly Christendom – has been reflexively employed the social-sciences e.g., sociology, psychology, anthropology as agents to advance the “order of society” however, these disciplines promote cultural dissolution. The dissolution these disciplines promote is a function of these disciplines presupposed fundamental principles (dogmas); the dissolution follows as corollary to these disciplines activities which perfunctorily places to one side that which is qualitative; God and objective morality are amongst that which is qualitative i.e., those things which give meaning to life beyond the transient. Now the social-sciences treat various social maladies via social-welfare workers, but their view-of-humans* is such that, that humans are part of a blind evolutionary continuum; ultimately humans are of no greater moral worth than the slaughtered cow which one makes into hamburgers, meatballs or steaks. Sociologist, anthropologists and psychologists do not broadcast that information, and some personally disagree (usually those which subscribe to some theism e.g., Christianity) with their discipline, but as a condition of employment, their personal beliefs must remain unspoken! Thus, their personal beliefs do not influence – for the good – the movement of society towards dystopia. Moreover, these disciplines have much to do with designing educational curriculums – so as to inculcate/indoctrinate children into the secular-humanistic “faith.”

* Godless! And explicitly so, because as “scientists” they cannot acknowledge God, or objective moral principles, thus their disciplines teach materialism i.e., all things are reduced to meat i.e., humans are part of a food chain, which in effect is nihilistic hedonism…

11.) Atheism, secular-humanism, agnosticism, materialism, logical-positivism etc. are irrational faiths dressed up as philosophies… Those that subscribe to such faiths are generally advocates of managing the affairs of all people i.e., those godless faiths have close kinship with despotism…

12.) Within the PC movement there are elements (individuals, and/or groups) which either intuit (unconsciously sense), or consciously understand that each assault upon the citadel upon the rational-order advances the PC movements power. Consequentially, nearly every irrational advocacy is urged by the social-political Leftist (those which promote politically correctness as a means to advance their agenda for power acquisition) given a respectful hearing – thus providing the irrational ideas, and advocacies with a meretricious measure of rationality – while the authentically rational is consistently characterized as the embodiment of some form of hatred and malicious bigotry.

Here we change “gears” - although we could have continued describing manifestations of the University’s gradual upheaval/inversion (that upheaval/inversion is ongoing), and although Kant is passé, he laid the predicate for the dissolution of modern society – by effecting the inversion of the University dominant worldview via the aforementioned Critiques of Pure Reason, albeit as a series of related unintended, organic intellectual consequences – we hope to sketch a way to recover what has been lost, while noting that such a recovery seems highly improbable i.e., Christendom’s recovery may not ever be realized, and if such is the case, then the West’s chosen path, the journey towards the dissolution of total dystopia will only be altered/avoided by the realization of Christian eschatology or by the Islamic ubiquitous ascendancy i.e., a global Caliphate.

Note that any reform/recovery of Western Culture/Christendom may be effected by beginning in one locale e.g., the United States, and we thus tailor our “plan” by beginning with creating the conditions for a return to a rational society i.e., moral ordering, by delineating steps – if accomplished – would eventually return the USA to a rational/moral society, and thus return the USA to the limits imposed by upon the Nation by the US Constitutional. To that end and not we propose:

1.) Repeal of the 17th Amendment; this would give reason a fighting chance against unreason. As Senators were once again appointed by State Representatives, budgetary processes would, gradually but, inevitably defund most of what today is funded by the Federal Government; the Congress then would be moved - by We the People, and the States, to restrict appellate jurisdiction of Federal Courts, which may be accomplished by a simple majority see: Article III section 2. And the States shall make it their business to prompt their Senators to impeach what Federal Jurists appear to the aggrieved States as enemies of the Constitution of the United States. The implications and benefits of the repeal of the 17th Amendment are many and extensive, but we will note a few, viz:

A.) The Federal Government will shrink dramatically due to U.S. Senators being returned to dependency of State Representatives for their tenure. Consequentially, only legislation which has an interest of the majority of the States would become Law, and so many functions the Federal Government has arrogated to itself will cease to be re-appropriated via the budgetary process. The actual necessary functions of Government will still be performed by State Governments albeit more efficiently (sans the Federal bureaucracy), and less ideologically; even though State bureaucrats are likely as ideologically inclined as their Federal counterparts – given they are both products of the University - the State employee must be more respectful of budgetary constraints imposed by each respective State’s budgetary restraint imposed by its Constitution. Over time social-engineering will cease to be a function of the Federal Government, because Universities will come to disagreement on the qualitative aspects of existence; philosophic cogency will replace Governmental fiat vis-à-vis what is intellectually defensible. This will eventually put an end to the PC movement which promotes and sustains intellectually untenable advocacies via Government subsidies, as it simultaneously utilizes Federal, State and Local bureaucracies to silence rational opposition….

B.) State Rights – reduced to privileges via Federal Court’s use of substantive-due-process (applying Bill of Rights to States via 14th Amendment equal-protection clause, thereby nullifying State laws) – will be in vogue once again.

C.) The Federal Government will be reduced to performing the specified functions delineated by the U.S. Constitution e.g., Foreign Policy, Interstate Commerce and Enforcement of Contracts and National defense. The Government of the United States has a greater Constitutional obligation to ensure the inculcation of moral dispositions - amenable to the rule-of-law (read: natural-law) – than it has any ground to concern itself with National health-care and social-engineering (promoting such perverse mental illnesses as the LGBTQ lifestyles as normalcy…).

D.) As states implicitly above, State Universities will become State Universities; no longer would the Federal Government subsidize and coerce Universities into compliance with the Federal Government bureaucracy approved weltanschauungs. On the qualitative aspects of knowledge and education a diversity of views will exist, each view will be promoted via dialectical process; the intellectually untenable “philosophies” and advocacies will be demonstrated, and revealed as the sentimental nonsense they are.

E.) In addition to Federal Jurists being impeached from their benches – to include Supreme Court jurists, the President of the United States will actually become impeachable for actions Transgress the bounds of those specified in Article II section 4 of the U.S. Constitution; no longer will the Senate body be so Party oriented. Senators will reflect the interest of their respective State, or their respective State Representative’s will remove them from their job as U.S. Senator…

F.) The Press and all National publication will necessarily re-orient their publications since 50 States will have diverse – and often - competing interests…

G.) The Church’s will again need to begin to concern themselves will ordering souls and social structures, since the social-welfare gospel promulgated by and through Federal Tax dollars and the ubiquity of Federal Law and bureaucracies, will lose funding (via the budgetary process); the laws which survive the alteration manifest from the 17th Amendment’s repeal will be unenforceable, due to lack of funding… Consequentially, Church’s will become more relevant to the lives of the disenfranchised; the Church’s will work in organic cooperation with State and Local agencies, to address the needs of the disadvantaged. Additionally, Other cultural changes will lead to the social-sciences being largely omitted from social ordering institutions; or the social-sciences will have to begin - along with Churches (Note that Churches presently tacitly agree with the social-sciences advocacies which are reflexively promoting social-decay…) and schools – to teach moral virtue, and thereby encourage the ubiquitously admonishment of transgressions of moral law…

H.) The ubiquitous poisoning of hearts, minds and souls through the secondary educational institutions, and the University would be dramatically slowed, and eventually permanently interrupted and likely reversed as schools began to reflect the local community school boards driven more by the advance of academic excellence than by politically-correct sentimental nonsense…

2.) Several means may be employed to promote and realize the 17th Amendments repeal, viz: 1.) An articulate President of the United States incessantly calling for the repeal, and doing the necessary education of the public regarding (beside oval-office speeches, the President may mandate C-SPAN seminars to be delivered by Constitutionalist scholars so inclined to deliver lectures and field questions in Public venues; similarly with Town-Hall meetings/addresses…) the public benefit. 2.) Utilization of Liberty Assembles (A plan for social/political reorganization authored by the author of this blog-post; although in need of revision, the plan is posted @ bestthinking.com) 3.) Ballot initiative – in the 50 States – following public lectures on the merits of the repeal, and the ballot measure then would be utilized as impetus to promote public forums to promote the repeal…

3.) The establishment of an alliance of think-tanks and Universities (We suggest the alliance be called: “The VERITAS Institute”) which are organized as predicated upon the Perennial Philosophy i.e., classical metaphysics exemplified by the metaphysics of Saint Thomas Aquinas. Note that these Universities – post repeal of the 17th Amendment – will no longer be beholden to Federal Government, but will become purely State and/or private institutions. Such an organization will make it their business to promote the social doctrine of subsidiarity, as concomitant for the re-established Federalism subsequent to the repeal of the 17th amendment.

4.) The United States Military will need to be re-ordered so as to abstain from social activism; the re-invoking of anti-sodomy strictures must put back in place (Although, the Military will not police private activity, it will punish what is made public…); once the Military is again apolitical and has returned to a semblance of its historic function, then perhaps – as one of the few National functions the Federal Government should encourage - a mandated 2 year National service (in one of the Military service branches), for all adults 18 years of age, or older. Deferments would be allowed for University Scholarship recipients; of course upon graduation the graduate would still be required to spend a minimum of 2 years obligated military service. But, such a suggestion – of mandated Military service - is only a suggestion…

Post 17th amendment repeal, the Washington bureaucracy will shrink and shrink, and politics will become less political, since Senators will have greater need to satisfy their State Representatives than they will have to satisfy their Party…. Note that any legislation originating in the House of Representatives may receive unanimous support – in that House (presently 435 votes) – but will never become law, unless it receives a majority vote in the Senate. The growth of the Federal Government, and the Federal bureaucracy, is owed to the enactment Teddy Roosevelt’s Bull Moose Platform in 1913. Neither the Federal Income Tax (16th Amendment) nor the Federal Reserve Act, nor all our Wars combined have been as harmful to this Nation’s perdurance as the ratification of the 17th Amendment. With the repeal of Amendment 17, the “ship USS America” would begin to turn from the giant iceberg on the horizon toward our future, and begin to reclaim(secure) the ‘Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.’
