In the wake of 'Christopher Harper-Mercer - a troubled 26-year-old student that walked into Classroom 15 on the campus of Umpqua Community College near Roseburg, Oregon, and murdered 9 innocent Christians, and wounded 9 others,' President Obama calls for legislation which will avert such incidents (Obama ostensibly wants Congress to pass a law which will make the mass murder of innocent people...  Read More

Jeb Bush may be a decent fellow, and by most reports he was a fine Governor of Florida, but he is delivering one of the greatest insults - in my view - which could be ascribed to Marco Rubio. Bush is comparing Marco Rubio to Barak Obama; as Obama's Presidency is a bellwether for a Rubio Administration because Rubio - like Obama - a 1st term Senator, youthful, and lacks executive experience. Rubio...  Read More

An individual at Bestthinking.com - as is his/her wont - makes sport of his/her worldview opponents - most recently "oddly" describing Tea Party members/advocates as being possessed of nihilistic spirits (Dogmatic? Perhaps; Nihilistic? Inanely ridiculous!); my guess is that those which they pillory do not respond because they are not aware of how unfairly they are characterized, by this...  Read More

My cousin Tim and I were discussing - via e-mail - the Democratic nominating debate; Tim reports he watched a portion of the debate, but was overcome shortly with irritation - as he said: "Hillary's voice is like nails on a blackboard!" Because I was working during its broadcast, I recorded the debate and intended on viewing the following day. I was interested in hearing Jim Webb, whom I consider...  Read More

Michael B. Mukasey – Attorney General of the United States 2007 – 2009 - writes in the September 15 th issue of Imprimis (a monthly pamphlet published by Hillsdale College; available free if any so desire call 800-437-2268 or go to: http://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/ and provide your e-mail address...); his topic/title: "Justice and the Obama Justice Department" and it explains the condition of the...  Read More

My wife and I are attending a 8 week seminar on the overview of the Bible; the are close to 100 people in attendance, but all attendees are 30 years of age or older, most are over 50 years of age… It seems fashionable today, that any and all seminars include group discussions, and thus we break into groups and discuss what topics pertain to the Bible topic for the week… Last Monday, we were...  Read More

President Obama's ultra-emasculated (or is the correct term: ultra-effeminate?) leadership - in dealing with Vladimir Putin and Russia vis-à-vis the Ukraine and Syria - is reminiscent of Commodore Stocker in the Star trek episode: "The Deadly Years;" in the episode Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Scotty, Doctor McCoy and ensign Chekhov beam down to planet Gamma Hydra IV and are exposed to a particular...  Read More

" 15 Then the Pharisees went and plotted together how they might trap Him in what He said. 16 And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and defer to no one; for You are not partial to any. 17 “Tell us then, what do You think? Is it lawful to give a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?” 18 But Jesus...  Read More

As mentioned before, I'm a member of a Catholic Men's Fellowship group; we meet twice a month, correspond regarding sundry topics which intersect matters of religion. Prior to Pope Francis's visit, Brian Kilmeade of Fox News was interviewed - I believe by Chris Wallace; Kilmeade asserted Pope Francis should contend with Radical Islam and avoid American politics; the segment was captured and...  Read More
