A woman named – Judy Olsen – was sparring with another person in my local paper; she regarded his comments regarding homosexuality to be hateful (aren’t all of us opposed to things which are objectively immoral always filled with, and motivated by, pure unalloyed hatred? And you’re redundant as well, Donegan, you ass!) and ignorant (another Leftist arrow hitting center-of-mass of a...  Read More

On the back of Our Sunday Visitor, dated July 21 st is a promotion of a book written by Archbishop Jose H. Gomez titled: Immigration and the Next America . My interest is in the subtitle: “Renewing the Soul of Our Nation,” for what is implied is that the Archbishop contends the United States will again become a God fearing – or respecting – Nation as a result of immigration reform. I’m a Roman...  Read More

About a month ago, I was listening to Rush Limbaugh and he was discussing abortion; as I turned the radio on Rush was asserting that abortion has affected the disposition of the Nation’s “soul.” Rush claimed that abortion was more than abortion; that its’ affects and effects promoted the panoply of social maladies, confronting the United States today… Although, I agree with Rush’s sentiments , ...  Read More

Social-activists generally pillory anyone as a racist, homophobe, sexist, etc. that may assert something contrary to their social agenda; thus I may identify myself – to such vile (generally thoughtless i.e., sentimental people, people who may change their minds, but not before their feelings have changed) individuals as a racist, and homophobe as a result of my argument. Morality, for such...  Read More

The Morning Star is no more bound As a Phoenix he hath Risen He Lights a path to Hades door On virtue, casts derision In somber hellish tones He shrouds this modern age A sepulcher he hath prepared For man, as his just wage Within this pall he hath enclosed the turpitudinous anthropo And casts them in the fiery Pit from whence they ne're shall go  Read More

Pre-Socratic justice was helping one’s “friends” and harming one’s enemies. A “friend” shared a common interest, but since all such interests are temporary, so were friendships. Note that such - is reality - absent an objective moral order; relationships – including relations of “love” are reduced to practicality. “I need you for “X” and thus, we are “friends,” or thus, I “love” you! At the end...  Read More

SCOTUS, DOMA and War for Culture Does nihilism beget hedonism, or the reverse? My guess is that it in some few instances hedonism precipitates nihilism, but generally, hedonism is an effect rather than a cause; as people lose their belief in a worldview - from which customs are derived - the customs cease to be meaningful. When the weltanschauung e.g., Christendom, is/was ubiquitously averred,...  Read More
Return to Main Blog Page to Shut Down Permanently on December 31, 2017

If you want to save a copy of your content, you must do so before the website shuts down on December 31, 2017. We will NOT be able to provide any assistance after the website shuts down. We are available at only until the shutdown to provide more information and assistance.

It was a noble 10-year experiment, but it turns out that the writers with the best content are the least adept at the tech required to publish under our model, which in hindsight, makes perfect sense. If you are dedicating your life to becoming an expert in your specialty, you don’t have a lot of time left for figuring out publishing tech.

It hasn't helped that we have entered an age of unprecedented polarization and antagonism which doesn't foster demand for a website dedicated to the respectful engagement of diverse views.

Thank you, everyone!
