The University of Victoria , 300 km off the coast of Vancouver Island, Canada, has installed the world's first Ocean Observatory in the Neptune Canada . My Aunt (a world traveler of all continents but one), after a visit to our Texas Coast, said that South Padre Island is some of the prettiest beaches in the world. She should know as she made an annual trip to Maui and snorkeled along the shores of Australia. I have not been to Maui or Australia, but can vouch for South Padre.
