E M P L O Y M E N T
Facilitated the education of future Physical Education professionals in the areas of methods and curriculum.
Health/Physical Educator, Barneveld School District 1990-1999
Maintain responsibility for the daily learning activities of K-5 and 9-12 students in the areas of Health and Physical Education. Developed curriculum to meet the 1995 NASPE outcomes for Physical Education. Developed curriculum to meet the Goals 2000 for Health Education, and to successfully connect with Developmental Guidance. Served as the Alcohol and Other Drug coordinator for 3 years. Served as a mentor for a younger Health/Physical Education instructor. Supervised student teachers as assigned.
Developmental Editor, Brown and Benchmark Publishers 1987-1989
Consulted with authors to develop materials for college level textbooks in the areas of Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Developed new connections within the company to expand the scope of texts within the field.
Tennis Professional, Washington Tennis Services 1983-1984
Served as the Head Teaching Professional for a major eastern resort. Managed a full-line pro shop, marketed tennis instruction, and developed community connections to help create a full-featured tennis program.

Lesson Organization
· Created a Physical Education database that contains over 1000 lessons, and can be searched using several different criteria.
Technology in Education
· Implemented a number of strategies for using technology effectively in education including high school course offered exclusively via the Internet, hand held computer assessments, and database lesson planning.
· Created and maintain the EdiPHy website
· Worked with Academic Technology to develop a new course format to work within Learn@UW
· Worked with Academic Technology to design a new Physical Education Teacher Education website to be housed within the Kinesiology department page
