Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale University, USA (General Internal Medicine) and lead on Law and Ethics at Keele University School of Medicine. Roger directs a Masters in Medical Science (Ethics) degree at Keele, and he initiated and co-runs a student exchange programme between the medical schools at Keele and Yale. As a speaker and independent consultant and advisor, Roger works for a range of health and charitable trusts and professional bodies, internationally and in the UK. He has an MA from Keele and a PhD in philosophy from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His current research explores relations between ethics, professionalism and cultural competence in medicine. His latest book (in press), co-authored with Robert Rohrbaugh, Associate Professor at Yale, is called Health Policy and Ethics - A critical examination of values from a global perspective (Radcliffe Publishing, Oxford). Roger is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the Society of Authors.
