I am a sworn law enforcement officer in the State of North Carolina, and have been so for six years. I am employed by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and currently assigned to the Patrol Division. In this capacity, I am responsible for investigations involving violations of North Carolina General Statutes and other violations of law. I have obtained over one thousand hours of continuing education and law enforcement training related to criminal law, criminal activity, investigations and other aspects of law enforcement. I have personally conducted and/or participated in numerous investigations involving violations of criminal law. I am a former patrol canine handler, having utilized a canine certified in human tracking, locating and apprehension, handler protection, narcotic searches, area searches, and article searches. I have conducted and/or participated in numerous controlled substances searches which led to lawful arrests and prosecutions. I am a field training officer. I hold a Basic Law Enforcement Certificate issued by the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission.
