BestThinking also provides a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section to provide answers for the most commonly occurring questions. You can also submit a question through our Contact Support system.
Neither Firefox 2 nor Explorer 6 support the advanced type of SSL certificate used by BestThinking's additional security. To solve this, you can either upgrade your browser to Firefox 3, or you can download a plugin that allows Firefox 2 to recognize the newer validation certificates.
The Firefox 2 plugin VeriSign EV Green Bar Extension can be found here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4828
For IE 6, you can upgrade to IE 7 or 8, or simply accept and bypass the security certificate error warning. However, there are many other functional incompatibilities with IE 6, so the use of IE 6 with BestThinking is not recommended.

Save the URL of a site running MediaWiki software to your clipboard. Select Create an Article on BestThinking. Click on the Import button on the Create Article page. Choose MediaWiki and paste in the URL of your MediaWiki Article. After the import, complete the remainder of the Create a Article form (title, keywords, etc.).
The MediaWiki format is changed from time to time, which can possibly lead to errors on import. If this happens, send the URL to BestThinking Support and we should be able to make the necessary adjustments quickly.
Yes. You can import text and images from both PDF and Microsoft Word documents. If your Article is on another website that is not MediaWiki, save it as a PDF and then import it to BestThinking using the Import button on the Create Article screen.
Search results can include any Article, Topic or Thinker on the website, as well as related content such as Blog posts, media and discussions. The only exceptions are binary files (Prior Works) and comments from Visitors. You can narrow the results by using the Advanced Search tool.
Keywords, also called “tags” on some websites, are words and phrases that Thinkers can attach to content. Keywords boost the relevance of content in search results and help to create a “meeting of the minds” between authors and searchers. Because BestThinking is a community of trusted Thinkers, Keywords should be helpful and accurate.
